Requests for Funding

Thank you for your interest in applying for CD13's Discretionary Funding. Our application window is currently closed.
 
In the meantime, you can prepare the following documentation for the next application round, which will likely open early 2025.
 
- W9 
- BTRC
- Articles of Incorporation
- Determination (501c3) Letter
- Invoice (briefly stating what the funding intent is)
 
Note: If you are a business, please state that on the application and only the W9, BTRC and Invoice are required
 

Applicants that will be given priority consideration will: 

  • Be a non-profit organization/of 501c status.
  • Hold a BTRC number (you can find out more about what a BTRC is and how to obtain one here). 
  • Be based in, or have a strong connection to, Council District 13. 
  • Be requesting $5,000 or less. 

Most allocations are processed as a reimbursement after the funds have already been spent by the receiving organization. Let us know on your application if this wouldn’t be possible in your case.

If you have a request related to an event, including rental equipment or street closure fees to the Bureau of Street Services, please reach out to our office directly at councilmember.soto-martinez@lacity.org, and include your BSS Special Event reference number for consideration.
